I'd
like to meet you in the daylightbut you know I couldn't stay right
here in a revealing view.
Ah
we could share long conversations,
cheap white wine and dissipations
forever and a week or two.
And if I touch on moments that you'd rather
not recall
We'll keep it superficial
though I'm not that way at all.
Cars
they go flashin' by my window,
move so fast I can't see in, though
imagination can make do.
I'd
like to be a gray Mercedes,
bucket seats with lovely ladies
and tune-ups every week or two.
You know they're just so many times
that you can run and hide
before reality will come and
take you for a ride.
I'd like to meet you in the daylight
but for now I'll share a late night
hazy
silhouette
with
you.
